FIRST COLLAB WITH AMS - OUT NOW

As I previously mentioned, I'm thrilled to be teaching the drums at African Music School in Bouar, Centralafrican Republic, for the academic year 2023-2024.

A part from teaching drums and Jazz, I was also keen to seek some music that is ready to be produced, so I could work on it, create some proper tracks with the students showing them how to not only play well, but also share their music online in an decent quality and eventually even create a business that way, if things would go well...

The idea was quite vague, as I didn't exactly know what I'd find here, in terms of creative skills and visions same as equipment for music production. How ever, here is a first run and despite the music not being exactly my kind of thing (I don't particularly enjoy those downbeat based chorals that sound too much like a gospel thing of the past century if you'd ask me), I'm amazed by the power of the music, the performance of our students and also by the message of that song composed by my teacher colleague Amadin!

It's not perfect, which is why I didn't share it on my official account; but it's pure, strong and lovely to my ears and therefore I feel like sharing it anyways. Enjoy!

There is one thing I want to mention: When shooting this pic, our girls weren't available. It's sad to only see boys again even though our female students contributed to the choral as well. But, we're working on that!

Despite women being quite heavily discriminated here, I'm now focussing on our strongest female singers, trying to encourage them to share their music so we can do even more professional production, seeking international partners for such kind of production etc. So enjoy this song for now, let's concider it a prove of concept, and watch out for more beautiful things to come!
